Opioid dependence isn’t simply an addiction – it’s a disease. This disease affects not just the individual, but family members and friends, as well. Aside from causing physical changes, opioids also cause psychological problems. Those suffering from this disease are often unaware of their condition or are in denial of their symptoms. The first to notice the changes are usually the family members and friends.
Our outpatient program provides the patients with the ability to stay employed, maintain relationships, and not be in an inpatient program that can interrupt their lives. In order for our patients to get the most out of their Buprenorphine (Suboxone, Zubsolv, Bunavail) treatment experience, we feel that the counseling element is an important addition to their medication management sessions.
